Contemporary Art by Southern Artists

Elaine Jackson

“ Inspired to paint from the beauty around me and grateful
to connect with my clients through what I create on
   Canvas and Paper.”

My love of painting started at age 15 when I took a summer art class in my hometown of Macon, Georgia.  I’ve been painting since then.  I’m mostly self-taught through studying other artists, workshops and developing my own style and pallet.  I describe my work as Abstract Impressionism.  Most of my  paintings feature loosely defined landscapes inspired by places I’ve traveled to and lived near.  I love painting all kinds of florals, but my favorite flowers are hydrangeas. I have fun painting flowers in all different kinds of color pallets.
